Trust
Straight answers to the questions a builder should ask before putting a contract into someone else's system. No compliance theatre, no badges we have not earned.
Approval
This is the one that matters most, so it goes first.
The system never sends anything to anyone outside your business on its own. Not an RFI, not a claim, not a variation, not an email to your superintendent, not a purchase order. It prepares the thing. A named person on your team reads it and sends it.
That is not a policy we wrote down and hope to follow. Every outward document and message in the product runs through a single path that will not release anything without a recorded human decision, and each one leaves a receipt showing who approved it and when.
If you have ever worried about an AI tool emailing a client something wrong, this is the answer to that worry.
Training
We do not train anything on your documents. We are not building a model out of your projects, and we have no interest in one. Your drawings, contracts, correspondence and photographs are here to do your work.
Reading a drawing properly takes specialist AI services, and we use them. Where a service offers a no-training or no-retention setting, we turn it on, and where the instruction can be sent with the request we send it every time rather than configuring it once and trusting it.
What we will not tell you is that we control what a third party does inside its own systems. Nobody can honestly tell you that, and a supplier who does is overselling. What we can tell you is which services we use, what each one commits to in writing, and that we will tell you if that changes.
Ask for the list and you will get it, along with the commitment each provider has made.
Location
Plainly, because you should not have to ask twice.
Your records live in Australia. Every project, drawing register, variation, claim, contract date and approval decision is stored in an Australian data centre.
Your document files are stored in the United States. The original PDFs, drawings and photographs you upload sit in US storage. The record that describes them is in Australia; the files themselves are not.
Some processing happens outside Australia. When the product reads a drawing or runs a piece of work for you, that processing can happen in the United States or Singapore.
This is a choice, not an oversight. The best tools for reading a construction drawing are not built in Australia. We would rather use the ones that read your drawing correctly and tell you where they run, than pick on postcode and hand you a worse answer.
We would rather tell you this now than have you find it in a security questionnaire later. If Australian-only storage is a hard requirement on your project, say so before you sign, and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it yet.
A full list of the services we rely on is available on request. We do not publish it, for the same reason you do not publish your subcontractor rates.
Security
Every file is encrypted where it is stored, and encrypted again while it moves between you and us. Connections to the product are encrypted end to end.
Access to customer data inside ASI Construct is limited to the people who need it to run the service and support you, and it is logged.
We do not hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001. We are a small company and buying a badge we cannot yet operate behind would be theatre. What we can do is answer any specific question you have, in writing, with the actual detail.
Exit
You can request a full export of your data at any time, and we will provide it. No exit fee, no notice period, no holding your record hostage to a renewal.
Being honest about where this stands: today that export is a complete data export we run for you on request. A one-click portable project record, the kind you could hand straight to another system, is being built and is not finished. If that matters to you, ask, and we will tell you where it has got to.
Failure
Two commitments, both plain.
If a document leaves your project wrongly, whether through our fault or a gap in our approval path, you hear from a person at ASI Construct within one business day, you get a written account of what happened and why, and you get the fix. Not a status page.
If the company fails, you get notice and a full export of your record before anything is switched off. Your project record is not collateral.
Questions
If your client, your principal contractor or your insurer has a question this page does not answer, send it. You get a written answer from a person, usually the same day.
